First Black Ops II Multiplayer Trailer Released

The look we get at Black Ops II‘s multiplayer in this trailer isn’t too terribly long – the video comes in at just over 2 minutes long – but there’s enough footage to get a good feel for the mode. Surprisingly enough, the multiplayer found in Black Ops II does look quite a bit different from the multiplayer in other Call of Duty games, but then again, we suppose it would have to be considering that Black Ops II is set in the year 2025.

This means that there will be new, futuristic weapons to use, including a turret called the Guardian that uses heat to drive foes back, and the Dragonfire helicopter, which you can remotely control to defeat your enemies from a safe distance. We also get a glimpse at the A.G.R. mech, which packs a lot of firepower into a smaller, remote controlled package. There are also a few surprises that we’ll let you discover on your own, so give the trailer a watch below:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is launching on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 on November 13, 2012. Some seem to think that the Call of Duty franchise has already peaked, and that Black Ops II won’t make as much money as its predecessors, but we have a feeling that this one is going to do just fine.

Samsung vs Apple Lawsuit

Samsung's latest tecnology in the new range of it's products such as "Galaxy" range of smart phones and tablets is to be challenged by Apple's lawyers over patent infringement.
Apple has claimed that Samsung's latest products use a numer of tecnologies and design characteristics which were first patented by Apple for use in iPhone and iPad.
The iPad (pictured left) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab (pictured right)
Both products feature a touchscreen operating system and are almost of the same sizes, however the iPad supports
a 9.7 inch display, but the Galaxy Tab comes with an 8.9 or 10.1 inch display.
The consequences:
If Apple wins the case, Samsung will be forced to pay out $2.5billion, and experts say the Android community may find itself mired in lawsuits – with Google itself dragged into the fight.
But if Samsung wins, Apple may need to pay out on patents owned by Samsung – and this may mean iPhone prices will increase.
Who’s going to win? What is your opinion on this?

Apple Teases Worldwide Black Friday Sale

Apple has begun putting up teaser pages on its online stores for a "one-day shopping event" that will take place around the world this Friday.

The Cupertino, Calif., company is keeping holiday tradition alive this year with its annual Black Friday sale, though it has yet to reveal what items will be on sale this Friday. Commonly referred to as Black Friday, the last Friday of November is usually the biggest shopping day of the year in the U.S.

Apple's Black Friday deals last year were fairly modest: $101 off iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air systems, $41 off the iPad, a $21 discount on iPod touches and $11 off the iPod nano. Other deals included small discounts on accessories such as wireless base stations, keyboards and the Magic Trackpads and Magic Mouse.

Traditionally, third-party retailers have undercut Apple's promotion with their own discounts for the start of the holiday shopping season.

In its most recent quarterly earnings conference call, Apple said it expects revenue of roughly $37 billion in the December quarter. Given that the company is known for its conservative estimates, some industry watchers believe Apple could top the $40 billion mark this quarter for the first time in its history.
